Costumes, Props and Casting.

Costumes.

We used smart casual clothes as we wanted to imply a business feel to our crime film. It made the characters look a lot more professional and serious. Almost like detective style as the virus is sacred and they don't want anyone else to get there hands on it.

Props.

In our film we used various amounts of props so the audience understood what was going on. For example the opening scene includes a character walking with a suspicious suitcase. It gets the audience wondering what could be inside and lets there imagination run wild.

At the end of the film, we opened the suitcase and actually revealed the big secret inside. Which was obviously the virus. Little green balls inside a clear plastic container so the audience can now understand whats going on.

Also, a Sony Ericsson mobile phone was a main prop. This is because we didn't have any dialogue within our film. We used the mobile as a way of portraying our message to the audience.

Location.

We shot the first part of the film outside a very smart house. This showed the character knocking on the front door and stepping inside. Next was actually inside the house in the living room where the suitcase got exchanged.

Then we moved on to a public park, walking down a path and finally sitting on a bench. The location was very lonely as no one tends to go there. This made a great atmosphere and suited our genre well.

Casting.

We have only included two main characters:

This is the main character, Haydn Kidd. He plays the role of the man named Charles Dixon. I selected Haydn to play this role because he fitted the character description that we needed.

This is the other character, Carys Lloyd, who played Camilla Dawson. She was the character that exchanged the suitcase to the bad guy at the start of the film. I picked Carys to play this role because she looks like an innocent business woman who doesn't want to harm anyone. She  looks very professional and the audience can take her seriously.
