Analysis of a Title Sequence.

 


The title sequence i have selected is 'The incredibles.' The Purpose of a title sequence is to introduce the film to the audience. It tells us the genre/subgenre, location and setting. The incredibles fits in to the animation, fantasy, action, family, and adventures genre. Also the title sequence tells us about the character, it normally shows all the main characters so the audience can identify them and get a feel of whats going to happen and who its going to happen to. The title sequence warn the audience the film is about to start and gives out vital information, for example, what the films actually called and who it's written and directed by. 






This shows who the film was directed and written by. 'Brad Bird.' The audience may be able to identify this individual as he may be the main reason they are watching it as they make take a deep interest in his work. The director is the first to be seen as he is the most important after the title of the film. The executive producer and associate producer come after him.  




Next is the name of the music producer. 








Story supervisor, 'Mark Andrews.' 



Followed by the editor of the film, he strings all the scenes and all the other parts of the film together, and makes them fit in and run as smoothly and possible helping the audience to understand and kick back and enjoy whats there watching.  



Next is the name of the supervising technical editor. 



Next is the Production Designer, Lou Romano.


After the Production Designer is the Character Design, Tony Fucile & Teddy Newton.




After the Character Design is the Supervising Animators, Tony Fucile, Steven Clay Hunter & Alan Barillaro.



Next is the Directors of Photography, Janet Lucroy, Patrick Lin & Andrew Jimenez.



Following the Directors of Photography is the Art Director, Ralph Eggleston, and the Shading Art Director, Bryn Imagire.




After the previous title is the Character Supervisor, Bill Wise.


Next, comes the Hair & Cloth Simulation Supervisor, Mark Thomas Henne.


After the Hair & Cloth Simulation Supervisor is the Sequence Supervisor, Nigel Hardwidge.


Following the Sequence Supervisor is the Effects Supervisor, Sandra Karpman.


Next is the Rendering Supervisor, Don Schreiter.


After the Rendering Supervisor is the Production Manager, Katherine Sarafian.


Following the previous title sequence is the Sound Designer, Randy Thom



Finally, the cast is shown in order of appearance.
